DESCRIPTION
If you’re looking to go beyond classic tapas and discover the finest Catalan gastronomy in Barcelona, you’ll love our Barcelona Gourmet Tour. We’ll take you on a gastronomic journey with 3 stops to our best-kept secret places in Barcelona, unknown to most locals, not to mention tourists or large-scale touring companies. You’ll discover one of our favorite’s local neighborhood for the finest food tour to be found in town.
We’ll start with a visit to a local wine bar, where a tasting of premium regional wines from small-scale organic producers is awaiting you, along with local delicacies to open your appetite.
As you walk to the next place through small off the beaten streets, you’ll discover hidden specialty food stores on the way and feel the true essence of Barcelona’s local, non-touristy neighborhoods.
The next stop will be a fine tapas bar, where locals get together to have premium drinks and tapas before dinner. There, we’ll offer you a Spanish Iberian ham tasting paired with a fantastic premium cava, as well as a few other delights.
Finally, we’ll take you to an incredible, off-the-tourist radar fine dining restaurant to complete your food experience and to taste the best modern Catalan cuisine in Barcelona, paired with premium local wine of course. We’ll also treat ourselves to the most fantastic desserts to end the evening in the best possible way.
Come on an empty belly, as you’ll try plenty of different food tastings, and a wide variety of premium local drinks (wines, vermut, etc…). Note that this tour is focused on tasting foods representative of the local gastronomy and will mostly (if not only) contain authentic cuisine from the region of Barcelona.

The meeting point can be reached by walking or public transport. No additional transport is needed for the experience.
All the food is local and seasonal. All the recipes are tradional Catalan (regional) recipes. During this Gourmet Tour of Barcelona, you’ll be offered regional, small-batch premium wines sourced straight from small-scale local organic winemakers.
Over 90% of the foods and drinks offered in this experience are organic. We’re trying our best to put some pressure on our partners to get to 100%!
Your guide will bring reusable bags and cloth napkins to avoid the use of plastic bags, and single-use napkins during the tour. We also request to the businesses we go to to reduce the amount of packaging (especially plastics) they offer to us. We pick and encourage, as much as we can, businesses that strive to reduce packaging and to follow strict recycling policies. We also offer advice on how to recycle in Barcelona.
This Barcelona Gourmet Tour supports local, family run businesses. Furthermore, the group size is restricted to small groups in order not to trouble any of the local spaces (which often happens with larger groups).
Tour Reviews
Our Gourmet food tour was amazing. Cristina was our guide as she showed us around a few different neighborhoods in Barcelona and we learned a lot about the history of the areas we walked through, she taught us about the history of the traditional food and drinks as we got to enjoy them! All of the artisanal cheeses, local wines, traditional drinks, authentic tapas we had that evening were amazing!
We ended our evening at a “favorite” restaurant of theirs to be greeted by a sweet lady who was one of the owners.
We had the most wonderful experiences with both Guillermo and Cristina whom we are so grateful to have had met on our trip to Barcelona! We are now on a mission to send all of our friends and family to enjoy an experience with “Barcelona Slow Travel”! We can’t wait to return to create more memories of a lifetime!
We did a food tour with three different stops and it was absolutely great! Cristina was the perfect guide with a lot of knowledge and totally motivated! It was the best tour I’ve ever made and we had a lot of delicious food. The restaurants/bars were all completely different and authentic. We really had a good evening! Thank you again for everything.
Thank you and well done !
We have really enjoyed this tour with you, we did not feel like tourists but as privileged persons who accessed really original and top-quality places.
We have also enjoyed your personality and knowledge, you have been so nice with us!
