What to Expect on your Olive Oil Team Building Experience
Our Barcelona olive oil team building experience will allow your group to escape the city and embark on an unforgettable food adventure in the Catalan countryside. This team building activity can be booked as part of our multi-day Barcelona business retreats or as a stand-alone event. We’ll whisk you and your group away to a 500-year-old farm located just 45 minutes from Barcelona. Here, your team will be hosted by the farm owner, a gourmet olive oil producer and professional olive oil tester. Your journey begins with a tour of the farm, where you’ll learn about its rich history, unique climate, and uncommon soil - key elements that contribute to the superior quality of the olive oil produced here. You’ll also marvel at the distinctive dry-stone buildings, a testament to the area’s unique cultural heritage. During harvest season (from September to January) this experience can include an olive harvest and preparation of olive jars to be taken away by your team. After the visit and harvest, you'll be invited to join in a professional Olive Oil Tasting Experience. Guided by your host, a member of the IOOC (International Olive Oil Council), you’ll delve into the art of olive oil tasting in a fun and engaging way. You’ll sample three of the region’s most characteristic native varieties, learning how to describe their flavors and qualities and discovering who has the best palate for discerning the subtle changes in each oil. Following the tasting, our chef will serve a seasonal menu crafted from organic local ingredients. You will be invited to pair each dish with the olive oils from your tasting, allowing your group to continue exploring and enjoying the nuances of each oil throughout your meal. To complement your dining experience, your host will present his favorite local wine. Expect to savor some of the finest premium organic wine, perfectly matched with your exceptional meal. This is an entirely private experience, ensuring the farm is exclusively reserved for your group. The olive oil farm owner, chef, and your guide will be dedicated solely to your group, ready to answer all your questions and provide a truly unique and memorable olive oil team building experience.
Montserrat Visit
We can also incorporate a 1-hour visit to Montserrat Mountain into your experience, where you can choose between a brief trek or a tour of the Montserrat Monastery. Please indicate your interest when booking.
