Come discover Barcelona’s fishermen harbor, usually closed to the public. You will be guided by a marine biologist, running a project to raise awareness towards sustainability in the fishing world. You’ll meet local fishermen, learn about traditional and modern fishing techniques and get some personal insightful stories about Barcelona’s fishermen’s life.
During the visit, you’ll see the first fishing boats coming back from a long working day at sea and will be able to see the fresh catch of the day, an experience you will remember for long. After that, you’ll assist to the “fishmonger’s only”, reversed-auction fish market and learn about the secrets of the distribution of fresh fish in Barcelona.
After the visit, we’ll take you to a nearby gourmet slow food restaurant for a unique gastronomic experience. You’ll taste freshly caught fish, from the same fishermen you just met. Prepare yourself for many seafood and fish tapas, the special fish dish of the day and creative desserts, all cooked using organic, local and seasonal ingredients. The dining experience comes with a fantastic selection of organic wine pairing and is a must for seafood lovers.
