Barcelona Slow Travel General FAQs

Request a booking: On each of our experiences pages, you will find a request button leading to a contact form. Simply complete the form and we’ll get back to you with further information and a quote.

A partial or full payment is always required to confirm your booking.

If you encounter troubles filling in the form, you can send an e-mail to hola@barcelonaslowtravel.com with the information of the experience that you would like to book, the dates you’re looking for and any special request you may have. We will answer as soon as possible with the steps to complete the reservation.

We accept credit cards only for online payments. We do not have a credit card terminal, so if you still need to pay something the day of the experience please bring some cash with you.

If Barcelona Slow Travel has to cancel an experience for any reason, all amounts paid by the customer to Barcelona Slow Travel will be fully refunded.

If the cancellation is made by the customer 48 hours or less before the beginning of the experience, or in the case of a no-show, Barcelona Slow Travel will not issue any refund.

If the cancellation is made more than 48 hours and less than 15 days before the beginning of the experience, 50% of the total amount of the booking will be refunded to the customer by Barcelona Slow Travel. In case the customer and Barcelona Slow Travel find a common agreement, a change of date can be offered to the customer at no extra charge.

If the cancellation is made more than 15 days before the beginning of the experience, 80% of the total amount of the booking will be refunded to the customer by Barcelona Slow Travel. Exceptions: for most sights entrances, the cancellation policies are very strict and the bookings cannot be modified or refunded. In those cases of private tours including sights, the entrances already booked cannot be refunded by Barcelona Slow Travel to the customer.

We often give personal recommendations or tips to dive in the local life that many of our guests enjoy during the next days of their stay. That’s why we recommend you to book our experiences at the beginning of your stay in Barcelona.

No, only bookings arranged by email with us and following our terms and conditions will guarantee you an experience with us.

Barcelona Slow Travel Reviews FAQs

Only past customers can leave a review on Barcelona Slow Travel’s website, by filling it directly through the website. We personally verify the authenticity of each review to guarantee it is genuine and will discard reviews from users who did not book and/or did not have an experience with us. We may also download customers reviews from our Tripadvisor or Yelp profiles.

It’s simple! Go on the page of the experience you participated to and scroll down to the bottom of the page. A “Leave a review” field will appear under the reviews. There, you will have to fill all the forms (rating, review, name and email) in order to submit your review. Note that reviews only appear online after we have verified them. This process might take several days.

Our review system is powered by WordPress, which uses Gravatar to feature pictures. Gravatar simply associates your e-mail with the picture of your choice, and it works on several different websites. To activate your gravatar, you need to sign up to this link: https://en.gravatar.com/

Cooking Experiences FAQs

Our cooking experiences are children friendly, which means there is no minimum age required to participate.

Babies 0 to 3 years old may join for free. Note that no food or drinks are included for babies 0 to 3 years joining for free in our experiences. Parents will need to make their own arrangements to take care of their babies and will be fully responsible for them during the duration of the experience.

Our cooking experiences are suitable for all levels. Make sure you let us know about your level, especially if you’re experienced in the kitchen, as we have many available options to further dive into Catalan cuisine and cook complex dishes. Although most of our cooking classes focus on traditional Catalan and Spanish cuisine, we have contacts with famous chefs offering haute cuisine and are able to organize a Michelin-star cooking class should you require it.

We are very comfortable when it comes to adapting our menus. We can cater to all types of dietary restrictions, preferences and allergies. Please add a note to your request and we’ll offer you a customized (and customizable) menu fitting your needs. Please note that menu customization is only available after the booking has been made.

Penedes Wine Tour FAQs

Our Penedes Wine Tour can be made children friendly by adding a visit to a cheese producer for example. It is especially recommended for children who are curious about discovering local life and to meet with local farmers.

There is no minimum age.

 

The Penedes Wine Tour happens rain or shine. In case of anticipated rain, try to bring with you a raincoat and appropriate clothes. Your guide will always try to make his best to adapt the tour to any external conditions. Should the weather be dangerous (storm or natural disaster, very unlikely!) we will get in touch and see with you what’s best to do. In the case we decide to cancel the tour, we would fully refund you.

Yes!

We offer discounts for children 4 to 14 years old for most of our experiences. They will be given in the quotes you’ll receive from us after requesting an experience.

For tours with private transportation included, babies 0 to 3 years old may join for free if a baby seat is available and as long as there is space available in the vehicle offered for the experience. If there is no space available and we need to use a larger vehicle, an extra fee will be required.
