8:15am Departure from Barcelona
The departure time will be at 8:15am and we will meet near the metro station Diagonal (exact address will be released upon booking).
9:15am Beginning of the Wild Montserrat tour
After arriving at the mountain via a secret route unknown to most of the locals we will provide a map and compass for the day. After a few minutes of explanation, it will be up to you to guide us around the mountain!
We are professional instructors with years of experience training individuals to become mountain guides. If needed, we will make sure you take us on the correct route and of course, we will always be there for your safety. And if you do get lost, we will offer additional tips on how to correctly re-orientate yourself.
The area we take you to is extremely quiet and definitely far from the main tourist sights of the mountain. It is extremely rare to see people in the area, apart from a few local climbers and sometimes a couple of lost tourists!
However, we won’t be alone at all – mountain goats can be spotted very often in the area, as well as a wide variety of wildlife. Prepare to relax and take a well-earned rest from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona!
12:00pm Picnic time!
After a good couple of hours hiking we will arrive at a small mountain refuge, where we will have a picnic lunch that we prepare with local products. Usually, it consists of a nice sandwich from one of the best of Barcelona’s bakeries, a few local sweets and plenty of fresh fruit (please request when booking if you have any food intolerances).
1:00pm Montserrat Hiking + Mountain Orienteering!
In the afternoon, our Montserrat tour will take you totally off the beaten track, as we follow dry riverbeds rather than well trodden trails in order to test your orienteering skills to the max!
Overall, this Montserrat hiking trip comprises around 5 hours of gentle walking, that will allow plenty of time for small breaks in some of our favourite spots, with some truly breathtaking scenery along the way.
Prepare for an experience that will not only make your trip extra memorable but also greatly improve your practical orienteering skills for future solo hikes!
5pm Back in Barcelona
We will drop you off at the metro station Diagonal. Please allow yourself some extra time in case- if we’re having fun together, why not as well have the time to enjoy it and forget about the schedules?

The optional lunch is a picnic and includes a sandwich (from the best bakery of Barcelona!) and a few local snacks. It is made using local ingredients of high quality.
Efforts are taken to reduce the amount of waste produced during the experience. All the plastic, glass and paper waste produced is recycled. Non-recycled waste for this activity is close to 0.
1)A real effort has been undertaken by Fermi and Joaquim to promote an off the beaten area of Montserrat, avoiding an ever increasing massification of the “touristy side” of the mountain. 2)Groups are kept to a small number (maximum 8 people) to reduce the impact on the environment during the tours. 3)More efforts are made to increase the awareness of their customers towards the preservation of the mountain.
